Vermont Country Flowers is dedicated to doing our part to protect the environment.

I am able to enjoy clean drinking water from my own well,
observe a variety of wildlife in the woods and fields behind my home,
grow my own flowers and vegetables.
I value these things and want to do all I can to preserve the land, water, air quality and nature for our children and grandchildren to enjoy for years to come!
Because of this, I practice the following, not only in my business, but also in my home.

flowers grown locally or by socially, environmentally responsible growers
such as Veriflora, are used whenever possible

all floral fruit and vegetable waste is recycled in our compost for future use in the
     flower and vegetable gardens

buckets and vases are cleaned with 100% biodegradable, plant-based detergents from
Ecover or Seventh Generation, a Vermont based company

old incandescent bulbs are replaced with long lasting, energy efficient florescent ones

everything possible is re-used or recycled http://veriflora.com/http://seventhgeneration.com/shapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1
